Safety Media at Health & Safety Expo at NEC Birmingham

The dust has settled and the hotel bills have been paid and now is the time to sit back and see how successful the Safety & Health Expo at the NEC has been for both Safety Media and our customers / potential customers. I was very excited walking around the show to see that the industry in general seems to be moving forward in a more dynamic fashion that I’ve seen for a number of years. There were more new products and ideas to look at than ever before.
For Safety Media it was by far the most successful exhibition in the last 10 years and I think there are a number of reasons for this:
1. We all recognize the need for E-Learning. The level of understanding of the concept of E-Learning and its value as both a cost saving solution and an effective method of communicating training in a quick and efficient manner has never been greater. I spoke to so many companies that are now at the stage of considering e-learning implementation, whereas a year ago the concept was still being considered or needed to be explained.
2. Our product really is very good! I was so proud to see the hard work and effort of 12 months of development work come to fruition in the release of our new version 3.1 of our highly acclaimed E-Learning system. My intention was to develop a system which took away all of the doubts and potential problems that customers had mentioned to me at previous shows. This has resulted in a system that can provide blended group E-Learning using interactive handsets, an offline training solution ideal for the retail and construction industry, online video courses that provide the high quality video content that Safety Media are known for, multi-lingual training in over 27 languages and the ability to create bespoke courses to any specification.
3. The stand was rather nice. I wanted to reflect the quality of our software, service and standing in the industry with an exhibition stand that created real impact. If you saw the stand, I hope you liked it.
4. A bigger, better team. The Safety Media team has doubled in size in the last 12 months. This is reflected in marketing, in the quality of our product and in the strength and professionalism of our sales force. I think this came across really well at the NEC.
We’ve created more appointments from the show than we’ve ever had before and if you have booked an appointment with one of our Business Development Managers then I thank you for the opportunity to meet and talk with you. I’ve no doubt that the show has been a great success for us, and I hope you found it interesting and thought provoking and would welcome any comments that you have.
I can’t wait for May 2009, our stand is already booked.
Take care and keep safe
Julian
