Swine Flu Outbreak

Like everyone I am concerned about the possible pandemic of the H1N1 Swine Flu virus which is being talked about continually on the news.

On many occasions over the past week I have heard members of my workforce discussing the outbreak and how it could affect them. I realised that my staff would feel more reassured if I could provide a brief session about the symptoms of Swine Flu and what to do if anyone begins showing them.

I asked my Production team to put together a short DVD covering the main principles of concern including the definition of a pandemic, a description of the various Alert Levels from the World Health Organisation and how to reduce the likelihood of contamination with good basic hygiene.

My staff responded very well to the DVD and it alleviated some of their fears about Swine Flu.
